Project

RELEASE is a small-scale Erasmus+ cooperation project addressing the horizontal priority of inclusion and diversity. It aims to support the social inclusion and reintegration of inmates by promoting access to innovative, non-formal learning approaches based on theatre and performing arts.

The project involves a transnational partnership between organisations operating in Italy and Poland, fostering the exchange of good practices and the development of joint methodologies between cultural operators and penitentiary institutions. Through structured learning pathways, inmates are actively engaged in artistic workshops designed to enhance key competences, including communication, collaboration, self-expression, and personal development.

RELEASE also contributes to strengthening the capacity of partner organisations to operate at European level, promoting peer learning, networking, and the internationalisation of practices. The project foresees the implementation of pilot activities leading to public performances, which aim to increase community awareness, challenge stereotypes, and promote a more inclusive understanding of prison and rehabilitation processes.
